Escambia County Healthy Start provides services and support to pregnant women, ensuring that they have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Healthy Start services are at no charge to you, and include:

- Stress management and emotional support

The Community Action Program Committee helps low-income families achieve self-sufficiency by providing assistance with employment, education, small business development, home acquisition, and expunging/sealing criminal records. They also provide after school programs, ACT/SAT tutoring, Adult and Early Childhood Education, Summer Youth Enrichment, Adult Nutrition Classes, Child Care Assistance, Home Energy Assistance, and Emergency Assistance.

The Waterfront Rescue Mission Offers Emergency Shelter and Recovery Programs, including showers, meals, laundry, counseling, computer use for job search and medical care. The mission will also receive mail for those without a home and help them obtain IDs.
