In accordance with Florida Law, an expectant mother who has enters into an adoption plan may receive some form of financial help. This includes help with “reasonable living expenses of the birth mother which the birth mother is unable to pay due to unemployment, underemployment, or disability.” This may include expenses like rent or utilities, food, toiletries or maternity clothing. It could also include insurance, and medical care. Basically, anything else the court deems necessary for the health and well-being of the mother and the unborn child. This sort of assistance is available to mothers both during their pregnancy, and up to six weeks after they’ve given birth.
