Santa Rosa Community Services Department receives funding from the federal government, and the source of this money is known as the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). The non-profit has two main goals as listed below.
- Assist low-income people and families, especially vulnerable populations, by providing emergency services, strengthening their family and supportive systems, and encouraging independent living.
- The second goal is fairly similar, in that the agency will help low-income people become self-sufficient through economic asset enhancement, employment, job training, and similar programs.

Santa Rosa County Rent Help – Working poor families, the homeless, veterans, and those facing a crisis may be able to receive emergency rental assistance. Sources of funds range from churches to regional charities and non-profit agencies.
Santa Rosa County Free Christmas Gifts + Meals are provided during the proper season. Hundreds of children, as well as senior citizens, benefit from these assistance programs each and every year.
Santa Rosa County Transitional Housing – Several non-profits and charities in the northern and western parts of Florida offer short term support to low income and homeless families. Clients can get a place to stay, case management, food, and maybe financial help for paying deposits.
