One common question we get from birth parents is, “I’ve already had my baby and taken them home. Can I still give my baby up for adoption?”

First of all, you’re not alone. We’ve worked with dozens of women who have been in the same situation as you. The women we’ve worked with in the past have chosen adoption after birth for a variety of reasons, whether that be because the father left the picture or because they didn’t fully know all of their options. Regardless of what your reasoning is, it’s not too late.

Post-birth adoptions are just like newborn adoptions. You are able to pick the right family for your child and you can meet with them as soon as you’d like. You can also still choose how you would like the adoption and the transition to proceed. Maybe you’d like a little bit more time with the baby, or maybe you’d like to have yearly visits and updates – that’s completely up to you. We can also make sure you receive the same counseling as other birth mothers, and you may be eligible for medical care and assistance with living expenses.
